Debate Finale #4 by Arth Trivedi

Beauty Pageants Are Nothing more Than A Scam

The following speech is For the proposed motion-

Good Evening everyone 1 Year Aath Tavedi, MBBS Student at BMC. Today I am going to speak for the motion.

Have You ever seen an ugly Miss World?  Just not an possible!

It is easy to call them a Scam, a Scam of Beauty ! When we check for the eligibility ; there we find these stereotypical image of beauty, like:

(1)Age must be between  18-27 Years old.

(2) Should not be married/ Nor pregnant/ Not mother of any Child.

→ The "Beauty" defination given in Gita refers it to "Sushmaa!" which means the exquisite beauty referring to a perfect harmony symmetry, order, , measure, equality and rythm ! Not only symmetry or order.

→ These are many cases where the organisations have taken  the crowns back from those given to the winners. The reason mentioned was that  they found the winni g person to be married or being a mother of a child. This is where they lose their Statetement about intellectual and beauty parameters that they tested about the candidate.

In "Toddlers & Tiars" named Show, only children from 3  years old to pre-teens are allowed to participate.

In Such shows, children are sexualised due to costume choices  about the character they are to impersonate.

* One child, being a part  of these episode was dressed as Julia Robert's charecter as a prostitute. Totally unethical practice.

→ Miss Teen Universe of 2017, died at age at the age of 19 Year from heart attack. Generally  such attacks occur genetically.  But, nothing was found in their family reason for such generally such tree. Only one reason for such attacks is physical and psychological stress for the hours of practice.

Dr. Martina Cartwright also defined syndrome for such child - the Princess syndrome.

Study 9, 2005:- Former Beauty Pageants who had performed were Dissatisfied with their body shape when they became adult.

Children should have nutritious food at. Here, they were having Strict diet plans  which lead to anorexia.

Ributals

  • What who about 921 они з 1000 of participats prey for inferosity complex?

  • Because Countries clements Swim suit which do nor do not mean these sounds many Show there body. pasticipate, does that warmers are not beautifut?

  •  Very less money goes to chasity from such pageants. It's superficial!

I would conclude my speech by saying that; Women are offering themselves to be rubber stamped with the approval that they are beautiful.

Anupamaa ~ Fatema Raja

We want a character to relate to us, to prosper despite the flaws. The biggest blunder of this oh-so-famous TV serial is the protagonist- the 'perfect' Anupamaa(which to be honest is quite annoying). She's shown to be the best mother, best daughter, best wife, best daughter-in-law and ofc the best "Naari". But what if all of this was just a coax. What if she's overcompensating about something from her past? What if- Anupamaa did have an affair with Anuj during their college time. But owing to the family pressure she could not refuse marrying Vanraj. But as Anuj was her 'one true love' and so could not leave him. Two years passed and now Anuj got pissed and asked her to leave Vanraj and shift to America and continue their life there. But Anupamaa got pregnant and thus was forbidden to pursue her "career". Anuj now fed up with all the toxicity decides to leave without Anupamaa. He texts her, I am leaving now but we'll meet exactly after 26...
