This book sets apart the differences in the life of film actor in terms of what it actually is and what people believe it to be. It also shows the prejudices a woman in 1950s faced while working in a male dominated industry, breaking the then “normal” norms and emerging as a successful icon who became role model to many.

While working with Evelyn, Monique realizes that happiness of a woman is not entitled, or limited to the opposite gender. It made her look her life from a different perspective and helped her in more ways than she could imagine, so she could jumpstart her newfound life with confidence.

This book has various ups and downs, filled with a bit of mystery and spicy details of Evelyn’s life: her decisions and the why behind it, her heartbreak, betrayal and friendships which lasted for a lifetime. A quick read for those needing a fresh story and a satisfactory ending.
